SIFF's popular Talking Pictures series added a fun twist this year. Moderated by Nancy Guppy, three local Seattle celebrities were invited to pick and watch their favorite films with a festival audience. World famous glass artist, Dale Chihuly, chose the 1962 western, Lonley Are the Brave. This heartbreaking tale of the disappearing west stars Kirk Douglas, Gena Rowlands, Walter Matthau, and a young-ish Carroll O'Connor. Following the screening, Dale and his good friend, screenwriter Stewart Stern (Rebel Without A Cause, The Ugly American) engaged in a lively discussion and Q&A with the audience.
